Thanks to the Internet, I have come across another couple who built this plan. It has been a great resource to look through their pics and blogs about their experience. Gives us some sort of idea of what to expect.

Our River Cottage

We currently live about 2.5 miles down the road from our building site in a small yellow house. It has an incredible access to the Elk River. We have thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the beach on hot days. It's also a great spot to put in or take out canoes and kayaks.
